One student union does it differently than the rest

An interactive map shows the contrast.

Humber College’s student union takes a unique approach to student representation in the form of closed Board of Directors meetings.

After researching the constitutions of every student union or reaching out for clarification, I was able to verify that every student union in the Greater Toronto Area but IGNITE has open board meetings.

Once I completed the GTA, I decided to add in a select elite student unions that have existed for longer than Humber has been a college to broaden the scope, though the result is the same.

In an attempt to figure out whether this had something to do with the local politics, I added geographic boxes around each student union that identified what political party was represented there.
